Love Copic Style

I ordered copics off ebay and got them Monday. I have not had a lot of time to practice with them. These are the third and fourth images I tried. The others had bad mistakes. I think I will like the copics once I get more practice.

I love these images from Inger Harding. I think they make the card and do not need anything to distract from them. The cardstock is Bazzill in burgundy. The rose pattern is colorbok from the rosewood collection pak. I hope I did justice to the image. I added the lace to get a more vintage feel.
This reminded me of when you were young and made valentines for the young love of your life.

Valentine for ODBD

Here are my valentine's cards. I decided not to use a Valentine sentiment as it makes the card more versatile for Operation Write Home. This card is being linked to the Our Daily Bread challenge for Stars and Stamps blog.

The first card has a white heart embossed background. The colored image is from Beccy's place. The border is bazil textured cardstock in pink and purple. The two purple brads hold a fuzzy pink ribbon with a cute pink heart charm.

The second card uses most of the same elements. The background is pink here with a colorful striped ribbon with a double heart charm held in place with a gold brad and adhesive.

I was thinking that some little girl may have a charm bracelet made from the charms from the cards sent home by someone who loves and misses them. Wouldn't that be precious?

Why I made this card-

From the blog at Stars and Stripes "It's Sandy here with a special new challenge! Our new friends over at Our Daily Bread Designs came to OWH after hearing about us from a wonderful cardmaker, Michelle - and ODBD wants to sponsor a monthly challenge in support of our heroes! Woohoo!!Every first Saturday we'll be posting the challenge here on the Stars and Stamps blog, and you'll have all month til just before next challenge starts in December to get your card linked up. ODBD is offering TWO generous $25 gift certificates for prizes, so you'll want a chance at that!

Bonus prize for our heroes:Our Daily Bread Designs will be making a shipping donation based on the number of cards in the InLinkz (only one entry per person!) - ODBD will sponsor one large box of cards for every 25 cards linked to the challenge post, with a maximum of 2 boxes per month. Inspiration

Okay I should be working. I was talking to my mom and I looked to see what the Midweek challenge was at Stars & Stamp blog. The challenge was to let the picture of the beautiful shirt inspire you. I can't wait to see what my mom comes up with.

I instantly thought of this paper I had seen in my box over the last weekend. The paper is the teal and orangey gold. I printed the digital stamp I got from my grafico onto the paper called perched birds. I liked the effect it has and I didn't make an inky mess. The sentiment is one I really like right now printed and inked in teal. I made a mess with that instead.

The orange cardstock paper is textured. The sentiment is popped with foam tape. I accidentally put the sentiment on the back side of the paper. I would have left it but the back is flat and darker than the front. It bothered me. The border is punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. The bling is red and lavender. I do not trust the adhesive it comes with so I glued them on. The red ribbon was used as it looked like it needed "something" to give it more depth. In my first thinking it was going to have more "layers". I just worry about it getting too bulky to fit the envelope and also be damaged.

For a quick and simple card I am happy with how it turned out.
