I married my husband prepared for him to be away as a Marine. He decided to take a leave from the service when our first child was born and was going to reenlist later. He was unable to do so because of changes in the Marine Corp. I never experienced him being gone and worrying for his safety in that manner. However, his job now means I see very little of him. He is in town only a few days a month. The miss yous really touch my heart. I think of families who do worry daily for their heroes and miss them.
I think the praying child is so perfect for miss you. Sometimes all you can do is pray. The design is from http://sliekje.blogspot.com/ colored with copics and on craft paper. The sentiment is from word document. The edges are inked with Tim Holtz in blue jean distressed ink. The paper is kraft paper.
I love the expression of the giraffee. Also I love that he works for the Jungle Challenge for Operation Write Home's Virtual Card Making Party challenge 8. I love the sunshine charm over him. The polka dot paper is Slab 6. The card stock is Colorbok. The fiber is tied into a bow. Hopefully, this will make someone who is missing a loved one smile.
